Professional Sales
Reports To: Sales Manager
Education: Degree.
Experience: Candidates must have a degree and a minimum of five years of professional sales experience, preferably in upscale consumer products (e.g., real estate, new home construction, luxury automobiles or boats, fine furniture or art, investments, etc.), and have a general understanding of the basics of residential building.
Qualifications: Candidates must also have a mature and confident personality, good telephone presence and be prepared to work some evenings and Saturdays. Basic computer and internet literacy are requirements, as is the ability to craft written correspondence. Well-traveled candidates have an advantage, as our clients build throughout the US and abroad. Business to Business (B2B) sales background will be considered if other criteria are a fit.
Responsibilities: Talk with sales leads by phone and meet with them in person (in-house) mostly. Minimum travel may be required. Sales leads are generated by advertising, website or referral only,there is no cold calling. Work with sales leads to develop budgets, time tables, plans, etc. Interface between clients, in-house architectural staff, builders and lenders, consistent with Company policy and procedure. Maintain records of sales lead contact and various typical sales reports required by management. Additional responsibilities include those normally associated with a sales position of this type
Work Schedule: Sales office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturdays. Sunday client visits are by appointment only. Hours are much like the real estate business with client meetings often on weekends and into the evening. The typical work schedule will include two evenings until closing (arriving at noon on those days), two to three Saturdays per month and occasional appointments on Sunday. Overnight travel is limited.
